Dr. LaTanya Bowman

Dr. Bowman attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in December 2000 for Athletic Training. During her schooling she worked with the Duke University Athletic/Physical Therapy Department and Wake Forest Athletic Football Department, where she was exposed to different fields of Sports Medicine. Throughout her training with the athletes, she discovered how chiropractic was beneficial to their healing process.

From there, Dr. Bowman realized her dream in becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. She continued her endeavors at Parker College of Chiropractic, located in Dallas, Texas. There she received her second Bachelor of Science Degree in Anatomy and her Doctoral Degree in Chiropractic in August 2005.

She began working as a Doctor of Chiropractic for three years in Memphis, Tennessee and continued her work in the field of chiropractic now recently in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. As her endeavors continues into the field of Chiropractic, she has learned how to use her knowledge and skills of Chiropractic and Sports Medicine to help patients maintain their optimal health and well being. She looks forward to sharing the experience of how Chiropractic can benefit everyone and to share her knowledge on how to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Background

Dr. Bowman was born and raised in Winston-Salem, and attended South West Guilford High School in High Point, where she marched with the South West Guilford High School Marching Band and played the flute. She also was the captain of the South West Guilford Cowboys flag team. While in college she continued to play the flute and marched with the North Carolina Central Sound Machine marching band.

As a young girl, Dr. Bowman danced ballet, jazz and tap at Rays Hollingsworth Studio of Dance, and attended many dance competitions.

She is active member of Turners Chapel A.M.E. Church.
